Contractors draft plan to fightback against cyber-attacks on JVs BIM modelling is an area of construction that could be targeted by cyber-criminals A group of experts at major contractors is drawing up guidance for the industry to use to head off cyber-attacks while working in joint ventures. Royal Bam group director of cyber-security, Ian Hill, told Construction News that a group called the Chief Information Security Officer Forum is meeting regularly to work out how to contain the increasing threat to the industry. The forum is working on other cyber-security issues and serves as a “fast-track communication mechanism” so that the companies involved, including Balfour Beatty, Kier and Morgan Sindall, can alert each other if a major cyber-incident takes place that could affect other companies.
