Officials: Ningbo exhibition to foster greater cooperation between two sides
The second China-CEEC Expo will help China to share its market opportunities with the 17 Central and Eastern European countries and assist the recovery and growth of the global economy, senior government officials said on Wednesday.
The second edition of the expo will be held in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, from June 8 to June 11 and will have trade shows in three categories: the CEEC exhibition, the international consumer goods exhibition and the permanent exhibition of imported commodities, said Zhu Congjiu, vice-governor of Zhejiang.
The exhibition will have a total floor area of 200,000 square meters. More than 2,000 exhibitors and 6,000 buyers are expected to participate in the event.

Enhanced efforts to boost cooperation among the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states will boost economic development in the region, officials and experts said.
The SCO, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, has become an important platform for bilateral and multilateral trade and economic cooperation, and is now a leading global economic development center, Vladimir Norov, secretary-general of the SCO, said during the opening ceremony of the 2021 SCO International Investment and Trade Expo held in Qingdao, Shandong province.

BEIJING: China’s foreign trade will maintain its upward momentum in the first half of 2021 after experiencing a strong export performance between January and March, officials and experts say.
Driven by robust demand due to the rapid recovery in major economies, China’s foreign trade amounted to 8.47 trillion yuan (US$1.29 trillion or RM5.33 trillion) in the first quarter of this year, up 29.2% year-on-year (y-o-y), according to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs.
