Big Spring Police have released the official cause of death of a man who was attacked by a dog on May 11.
Preliminary autopsy results show the cause of death for John Henry, 46, was a heart attack.
However, investigators say they believe the heart attack was caused by the dog attack.
The dog s owner has already signed an owner release for euthanasia, but the dog is being monitored for rabies prior to being put down.

BIG SPRING, Texas A Big Spring man is dead after a dog attacked him just before sunrise on Tuesday near E 13th Street.
Neighbors tell NewsWest 9 the man was dragged up and down the sidewalk before police arrived.
Officers ended up shooting at the pitbull mix before Big Spring Animal Control picked it up. The dog is currently quarantined at the Big Spring Animal Shelter.

Cruz initially claimed the boy had fallen off a bed but police say he later confessed to the murder.

BIG SPRING, Texas A Big Spring man is in jail after being accused of murdering his four-month-old child.
Jose Luis Varga Cruz, 22, has been charged with capital murder by the Big Spring Police Department.
Authorities say Cruz took the child to Scenic Mountain Medical Center and told staff the child had fallen off the bed and sustained head injuries.
Officers responded to the hospital and Cruz s residence, and investigators took Cruz into custody where he admitted to murdering the young boy.

BIG SPRING, Texas On March 1, the Big Spring Police Department Narcotics Division arrested 29-year-old Patrick Ramirez on drug charges.
BSPD found Ramirez at his residence at 1601 Stadium and charged him with misdemeanor warrants for Possession of Marijuana, Criminal Trespass X2, Criminal Trespass – Habitation, and Interfering with Emergency Request for Assistance.
When the Narcotic Investigators arrived, they found around 244 pounds of marijuana, 6 pounds of THC wax, 3 pounds of THC oil, 19 Oxycodone pills, five firearms and over $88,000 in U.S. currency.
