Cuomo accuser criticizes Yang s reaction to misogynistic question
NEW YORK Mayoral candidate Andrew Yang said Sunday he “would never endorse any mistreatment of women,” after coming under criticism from one of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s accusers for his reaction in a video when asked if he choke(s) b es.
Charlotte Bennett, a former gubernatorial aide who has accused Cuomo of sexual harassment, wrote in an op-ed in the Daily News that Yang showed “cowardice” when he laughed off the vulgar question from a man who approached him.

Andrew Yang still appears to be the candidate to beat in the New York City mayoral race, with a poll showing him maintaining a double-digit lead over all rivals for the Democratic nomination fewer than 70 days from the primary election.
Yang, an entrepreneur most noted for his proposals to give cash payments to the poorest New Yorkers and for the city to aggressively reopen and offer incentives for businesses and employers to return from the Covid lockdown, has first-place support from 26 percent of respondents in a poll by Data for Progress, a progressive think tank and polling organization. Bad connection
Because of either affordability or lack of access, millions of New Yorkers don’t have a steady internet connection. About 30% of New York households lack a home broadband subscription, and about 18% of residents 1.5 million people lack both consistent broadband and a mobile connection, according to Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Internet Master Plan.
The Covid-19 pandemic has “pulled back the curtain on the issue,” said Valerie White, executive director of LISC NYC, a nonprofit that advocates for investment in underserved communities. Schoolchildren have struggled to log in to remote classes, for example, and senior citizens were blocked out from vaccine appointments.
