The Corporate Communications Department of NPA could not immediately confirm the development, but a source in the Ministry of Transport told The Guardian that, “the suspension is true.”

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has expressed worry over the show of indifference by those in the South-east in accessing several credit facilities made available by the apex bank.
Acting Director, Corporate Communications Department of the CBN, Mr. Osita Nwanisobi made this known yesterday during a fair organised by the bank with the theme: ‘Promoting financial stability and economic development.’
He was speaking against the backdrop of low turnout by individuals in both Enugu and Anambra states where the fair took place, simultaneously.
According to him, the fair was intended to bring to the notice of the public some of the interventions of the CBN and how they can leverage it.

Enugu, May 4, 2021 The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has decried the low participation of the South-East in its economic intervention policies and programmes.
The acting Director, Corporate Communications Department of the bank, Mr Osita Nwanisobi, disclosed this on Tuesday during the CBN Fair in Enugu.
Nwanisobi said that the CBN intervention programmes were meant to create jobs, engender financial inclusion and make the people have access to finance.
He said Nigerians needed to leverage the intervention programmes of the apex bank for a better living at a time when inflation was spiking and prices of food items souring.
