Indices slightly continued trading with strong gains in mid-morning trade. Value buying emerged after a heavy selling in the previous trading session. The Nifty hovered at 14,750 level. All the sectoral indices on the NSE traded in the green.
At 11:25 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was up 745.01 points or 1.5% at 49,845. The Nifty 50 index added 217.85 points or 1.5% at 14,747.
In broader market, the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index was up 1.27% while the S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 1.49%.
The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was strong. On the BSE, 1925 shares rose and 830 shares fell. A total of 184 shares were unchanged.
OnMobile Global Ltd has added 84.08% over last one month compared to 1.99% gain in S&P BSE Telecom index and 7.04% rise in the SENSEX
OnMobile Global Ltd lost 4.21% today to trade at Rs 104.65. The S&P BSE Telecom index is down 1.68% to quote at 1374.38. The index is up 1.99 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Bharti Airtel Ltd decreased 2.64% and Vodafone Idea Ltd lost 2.12% on the day. The S&P BSE Telecom index went up 16.2 % over last one year compared to the 29.37% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
OnMobile Global Ltd has added 84.08% over last one month compared to 1.99% gain in S&P BSE Telecom index and 7.04% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 1.08 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 3.97 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 133.6 on 24 Feb 2021. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 12.95 on 25 Mar 2020.
Benchmark indices firmed up once again afternoon trade. The Nifty re-claimed 14,700 mark. Value buying emerged after a heavy selling in the previous trading session.
At 13:20 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, surged 728.01 points or 1.48% at 49,828.00. The Nifty 50 index advanced 202.20 points or 1.39% at 14,731.35.
Strength in HDFC Bank (up 1.96%), HDFC (up 2.35%) and Infosys (up 2.07%) boosted the indices.
The broader market was trading firm. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index rose 1.16%. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index gained 1.33%.
Buyers outnumbered sellers. On the BSE, 1,852 shares rose and 1,069 shares fell. A total of 195 shares were unchanged.
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth Rs 8,295.17 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs), were net sellers to the tune of Rs 1,499.70 crore in the Indian equity market on 26 February 2021, provisional data showed.
Consumer Durables stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index rising 633.65 points or 2% at 32391.86 at 09:48 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Blue Star Ltd (up 6.19%), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (up 2.83%),Titan Company Ltd (up 2.65%),Bajaj Electricals Ltd (up 1.68%),Voltas Ltd (up 1.55%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Orient Electric Ltd (up 1.11%), Whirlpool of India Ltd (up 0.96%), TTK Prestige Ltd (up 0.87%), Amber Enterprises India Ltd (up 0.51%), and Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd (up 0.44%). On the other hand, V I P Industries Ltd (down 0.26%), moved lower.
