New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday commenced the final stage of Union Budget 2021 with attending the customary ‘halwa’ ceremony.
As a part of the over-70-year-old ritual, the sweet dish is prepared in a huge kadhai every year and served to the entire staff at the finance ministry, North Block, around 10 days before budget.

The Halwa ceremony, which marks the final stage of Union Budget 2021 preparation, was held on Saturday in North Block, New Delhi. The ceremony was attended by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. At the ceremony, Sitharaman announced the launch of Union Budget Mobile App . which will help stakeholders in easily accessing all information related to Budget.

New Delhi [India], January 21 (ANI): Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur launched the first consultative meeting on asset monetization which was held in the national capital on Wednesday through video conferencing.
The meeting was organised by the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) in partnership with World Bank. MoS @ianuragthakur inaugurated & addressed the 1st consultative meeting on Asset Monetization in collaboration with the World Bank, Thakur said in a tweet.
The Country Director World Bank, CEO Niti Ayog, Secretary (DIPAM) and senior officers of Central Ministries were present in the meeting.
