In this interview with Kehinde Akinseinde-Jayeoba, she discusses her passion to see women being financially independent among other things.   When did you start your foundation? Cro-maria care foundation is a non-governmental organisation that started in 2018. However, the foundation was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2019. The core focus is to help the less privileged and empower women to be financially-independent and contribute to the welfare of their children, families and the society at large. The foundation, so far has empowered 3,000 female farmers in Abia state in the last three years by giving them fertilisers to enhance their farm produce. We don’t just give them fertilizer but we also educate them on how to be a better support system

How SMEs can access capital in Nigeria

The significance of SMEs for any country, especially Nigeria, cannot be overemphasized. It is, therefore, not surprising that SMEs constitute one of the bedrocks of economic development in the country. This makes it a sector that should be given utmost priority by the government. Chibok Girls Anniversary: Plan International calls on Nigeria govt to make more rescue efforts Format 14 Apr 2021 Plan International Nigeria, a non-governmental organisation working on girls’ rights has described as unfortunate and a sad reminder of vulnerability of citizen that seven years on, over a hundred of the 276 schools girls kidnapped from the Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno state are still in captivity. According to the Interim Director of Plan International Nigeria, Robert Komakech, “it is regrettable that these girls and other persons elsewhere are still being held captive by insurgents”. Expressing worry over the fate of the over one hundred girls still in captivity and the effect on their parents and relations, Komakech stated that “for every new day these girls spend with their abductor, it signifies a move further away from the dream they had prior to their abduction and for the parents and other relations, a harrowing trauma”.
