The National Petroleum Authority on Friday donated medical supplies to victims of the recent gas explosion incident at the Mighty gas station in Ho.
The medical supplies include 25 gauze roll, 50 examination gloves, 100-bed mats, 50 cotton roll, 10 savlon (five litres), 50 crepe and 50 gauze bandage.
The donation, made through the Ho Teaching Hospital, was presented on behalf of the Authority by Madam Natasha Boakye Amoah, Senior Manager with the Corporate Affairs department and was received on behalf of the victims by the management of the Ho Teaching Hospital.

She completed the British Horse Racing Graduate Development Programme in 2016, undertaking her work placement at the BHA.
Prior to commencing Godolphin Flying Start, she spent three years working at the BHA, where she was first based in the Communications and Corporate Affairs department, as Plus 10 Executive, and later as a Project Officer working across the Equine Health and Welfare, Anti-doping and Integrity and Regulation departments.

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has published guidelines for the hospitality industry on measures taken against the spread of the coronavirus which were first announced by President Akufo-Addo on Sunday, January 31, 2020.
The directives issued by the Corporate Affairs Department of the GTA in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MATOC) reiterates that pubs, beaches, nightclub remain closed.
Guidelines on pubs
Addressing the confusion over what constitutes a pub, the directives state that according to Legislative Instrument 2238, a pub or lounge is a place licensed for the sale and consumption of a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in an enclosed area with air conditioning and a well fitted and furnished setting.

Abuja, Jan. 28, 2021 The Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd (NIGCOMSAT), in collaboration with its partners have launched NigComSat-1R, the first Satellite -Based Augmentation System (SBAS) signal over Africa and the Indian Ocean that would help accelerate African aviation.
NIGCOMSAT Ltd, along with Thales Alenia and ASECNA, the other partners, first started the broadcast of a SBAS signals over Africa and the Indian Ocean in September 2020, and they conducted five demos at Lome International airport for the first launch of the SBAS.
A statement by General Manager, Corporate Affairs Department of NIGCOMSAT Ltd, Mr Adamu Idris, issued in Abuja, quoted SBAS Manager, Mr Lasisi Lawal, as saying that the goal was to showcase the real configuration of the efficiency of the technology, developed in the frame of the early open service as part of the ‘SBAS for Africa and Indian Ocean’.
