Officers located Brian Atkins suffering from a gunshot injury to the chest. The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Evidence led investigators to determine that Atkins was shot after he accepted a ride from 34-year-old Nathan Carl Lee. While Akins was in the car with Lee, Lee decided to rob Atkins and shot him in the chest after robbing him. Atkins was kicked out of the car in the 4800 block of Monkhouse Drive.
