Volleyball: Titans Win Second-Straight PAC Title

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The top-seeded Westminster volleyball team shut out No. 3 Grove City, 3-0, for their second-straight (fifth overall) Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship at home Thursday evening.
Junior Maya Steward (Los Angeles, CA / William Howard Taft) was named the PAC All-Tournament Team s Most Outstanding Player and joined classmate Becky Adelman (Randolph, OH / Waterloo) and first-year Lauren Lampus (Sarver, PA / Freeport Area) as the Westminster representatives on the All-Tournament Team.
Steward went off with a match- and career-high 17 kills (for a three-set match), which ties for the second-most kills in program history since 3-set records were kept (since 2006). Steward also had 15 digs for her sixth double-double of the season.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - VCU has always been Taya Robinson’s home-town team.
“Right down the street, home town, you get to stay with your family and your friends,” Robinson said. “I’m a big family person, so that’s always been a big thing for me.”
So when it came time for her to choose a college basketball program during her senior year of high school in the fall of 2016, the choice was simple. Robinson, a Huguenot High School graduate, signed on to be a part of the Rams.

In three seasons at Pitt, had 1,152 points, 311 rebounds, 415 assists and 124 steals in 84 career games … started 81 of 84 games

Averaged 14.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.72 assists in 18 games, making 16 starts
Shot 42.6 percent (80-of-188) from the field and 78.7 percent (70-of-89) from the free throw line

In 2019, Bobby Trivigno had to watch the National Championship from the stands after being suspended for a hit in the semifinals. Two years later, he skated off the ice with the Frozen Four’s Most Outstanding Player award after UMass beat St. Cloud State, 5-0, to win the program’s first title Saturday at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
