Montgomery Gentry Will Kick Off NTSD in Hannibal
After a somewhat toned-down version of National Tom Sawyer Days in a pandemic-plagued 2020, the Hannibal Jaycees have just announced a musical line-up that is sure to fire up the crowds in 2021.
According to the Hannibal Jaycees Facebook page, the kick-off concert for NTSD features Eddie Montgomery, with the popular country music group Montgomery Gentry. He’ll take the stage on Saturday, June 26 at the Jaycees entertainment venue Tanyard Gardens at Third and Lyon Streets.

Eddie Montgomery partnered with Troy Gentry to sing 20 singles that landed on the Billboard country music chart. They had several number one hits, including “If You Ever Stop Loving Me,” “Something to be Proud Of,” “Lucky Man,” “Back When I Knew It All,” and “Roll with Me.” Gentry died in a helicopter crash in 2017 as he was on his way to a performance in New Jersey.
