Trial set to start in West Virginia teenager s slaying

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP) A trial is set to start next week in West Virginia for a man accused of killing his girlfriend s daughter.
A jury was selected Friday in the trial of Andy J. McCauley Jr. in the May 2019 death of Riley Crossman, The Journal reported. The trial will begin next Monday in Morgan County Circuit Court.
The 15-year-old Crossman’s decomposed body was found on an embankment near a road in rural Berkeley County by officers from the Division of Natural Resources. Berkeley Springs High School had contacted her mother a week earlier about her absence from school.

ELKINS The Elkins Lions Club welcomed District Governor John Mason at the Steer Steakhouse Monday.
The District Governor started his speech by sharing the international theme for the year, “United in Kindness and Diversity,” and the District Governor’s theme: “In A World Where You Can be Anything, Be Kind.”
The Elkins Club was privileged to have him recount the story which redefined his perspective on what it means to be a Lion. He shared one of his Santa Claus stories which left a lump in everyone’s throat, about a little girl who climbed in his lap and asked for her father back.
