ADAMS, Mass.
Mr. Scott Alan Chapin, 47, of Adams, died on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at his home.
He was born in North Adams on July 24, 1973, son of Dianne (Foster) Chapin and the late Dennis Chapin. He attended schools in Adams and North Adams and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1992. He then attended Berkshire Community College and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
Scott was a self-employed entrepreneur and “Jack of All Trades”, while living for a time in Tennessee he was the owner of The Dental Shop and he had also worked as a chef for Jiminy Peak Resort.
Every Wednesday at 8:30 we re joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.
This week s Pet of the Week is Casper, a 15-year-old black and white male shorthair domestic cat. Casper and five other cats came to Berkshire Humane Society due to a health issue with their owner. He is a sweet old gentleman who has some mobility issues, so is on a joint supplement to help him get around. Casper gets along with other cats. He is affectionate but can get overstimulated and “love nip”, so a quiet home with adults would be best. Casper qualifies for a senior discount.
DALTON â Imagine trying to find a small white Pomeranian, fluffy as all get-out, in a blizzard. Worse, imagine being that little pooch, Rocky, out alone in a blizzard, two weeks after being separated from his owner.
If Rocky could talk, heâd likely share one of the most harrowing accounts of coming through last weekâs norâeaster. And as of Monday, of a loving reunion.
On the day that saw a celebrated conjunction of planets, Rocky wasnât the only missing pet to be back in the embrace of its owners in the Berkshires.
