John Allen ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. A former Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office sergeant is kicking off his campaign to be the county’s top cop. The primary will be held in June 2022 and the general election will be in November 2022. John Allen, who was BCSO’s homicide sergeant when he left in October 2019, also has experience in crisis intervention, the mobile crisis and SWAT teams and in investigating violent crimes, according to a news release from his campaign.
