In what could be described as a âtreasure huntâ in the form of a store, a new business in the Riverside Shopping Center offers shoppers the opportunity to find products at discounted rates.
Toteboys was opened around three weeks ago by a group of friends who know each other through flea market selling. Marvin Lynn Martin, Jr., John Hiatt, Allen Jackson and Bernard Martin all joined together to open the store based on their past experiences selling discounted items.Â
Hailing from Greensboro and Axton, the group settled on Danville, as they were familiar with the city already.
â[I thought] Danville would love to get some good deals,â Martin said.

A motorist who failed to stop immediately after being directed to by police on the Bruce Highway claimed he feared for police safety after the Melbourne police killings and couldn’t find a safe spot to stop.
Paul Bernard Martin, 49, pleaded guilty on March 16 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to one count of failing to stop at the first reasonable instance after being directed by police.
Police prosecutor Clancy Fox said police were carrying out speed enforcement on the Bruce Highway on May 4 at East End, south of Mount Larcom, when they came across Martin driving a black Ford ute in a northerly direction.
