PRINCETON – The Bureau, Putnam & Marshall County Health Department announced 23 new infections of COVID-19 Wednesday, this as the vaccine begins to be administered to staff members at Bureau County hospitals. There have been 2,601 cases in Bureau County since the pandemic began. Front-line healthcare workers at Perry Memorial Hospital and St. Margaret’s began receiving the vaccine yesterday. Next week, two opportunities to get tested for free will occur, on the 22nd at Hall High School and on the 23rd at the Bureau County Fairgrounds.

PRINCETON – The Bureau, Putnam & Marshall County Health Department have announced they will be working to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to frontline health care workers at Perry Memorial Hospital and St. Margaret’s Hospital in the next few days. They will also start providing the vaccine to people in high-risk categories.
Administrator Hector Gomez said Saturday “We are following recommendations from the CDC and IDPH to ensure fair and equitable vaccine distribution. As soon as large quantities of the vaccine are available, the goal is for everyone to be able to easily get vaccinated later in 2021.”
