Berlin - It feels a little like the wheels are coming off.
It’s hard to discern the lines of truth in the fuzzy battle between the European Union and Astrazeneca for a vaccine that doesn’t seem to exist and is or isn’t as potent as promised. Is Astrazeneca just another greedy company that over-promised to secure early orders it can’t fulfil (except to the UK, which opens a whole other box of Pandora) or is the EU’s strategy of ordering from several companies a really stupid idea?

In Bavaria, FFP2 masks have been compulsory in public transport and retail since Monday.
Berlin - More and more people now wear FFP2 masks while shopping to protect themselves and others from Sars-CoV-2. With concern rising about the more contagious British variant of the coronavirus, politicians called for FFP2 masks to become compulsory nationally. Bavaria already requires FFP2 masks - in public transport and shops. Berlin hasn t gone as far: as of 24 January, a medical mask (including both surgical and FFP2) must be worn.
