GUANGZHOU, China, Feb. 4, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Sustainable development is an essential issue in today s human society. A total of 273 initiatives from 175 cities and local governments in 60 countries and regions applied for the 5th Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation, which fully demonstrated global cities determination to adhere to exchanges and cooperation under the epidemic. This meeting released the Technical Committee Meeting results of the 5th Guangzhou Award and announced the 15 shortlisted cities.
BERHAMPUR: The Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) on Tuesday launched a drive to profile the socio-economic condition of street vendors and their families getting benefit under the PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme.
Based on the socio-economic profiling of PM SVANidhi beneficiaries and their families, various central government benefits like insurance, health insurance and unorganised labour benefits will be extended to them according to their eligibility, a government source said.
BeMC commissioner Sidheshwar Baliram Bondare said in the corporation area, as many as 3,400 street vendors have registered to avail of the loan under the PM SVANidhi scheme. Out of them around 2,200 persons have already availed of the loans from various banks.
