ORLANDO, Fla. – A new organization launched by a veteran educator empowers youth and women through coaching and mentoring.
Roneisha Randall said the idea for “Be That” came to her in 2016, when she was going through a series of life challenges and realized she is happiest while helping others.

“And then just being a woman, you know, a woman who’s had her own journey and experienced disappointment, but who’s also experienced success,” she said.

Randall says one of her messages to young girls is that the sky is the limit, and it’s OK if your life doesn’t turn out as you envisioned.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County Public Schools has revealed the 2021 Principal of the Year is Oak Ridge High School Principal Jennifer Bellinger.
The innovative principal raised the school from a “D” to a “B” in two years. Bellinger has been an educator for 23 years and is in her fifth year at Oak Ridge.

“You don’t go into education, or I didn’t go into education, to say, ‘one day I want to be Principal of the Year.’ You just go in because you want to help kids and it is super exciting,” she said.
Colonial High AgriScience program receives honor from National Future Farmers of America
Students raise farm animals on campus as part of curriculum

ORLANDO, Fla. – Colonial High School’s AgriScience program just received a huge honor the National Future Farmers of America after being awarded the Model of Excellence Award.
That places the program in the top 0.1% of programs nationwide. Colonial High School is the Animal Sciences magnet for all of Orange County. About 800 students are enrolled in the program.

“It’s one of those honors that you know exists, but you never actually know anyone who actually receives it because it is so grand,” said FFA sponsor and AgriScience teacher Caela Paioff.
New Image Youth Center in Parramore known as the ‘good in the hood,’ founder says
Center provides resources, services to students in community

Dr. Shanta Barton-Stubbs founded the center when she was just 21 years old.
“My father moved this church from Winter Park to Parramore in 2004 and it was a group of four children that I just wanted to give the opportunity to play a game of Monopoly,” she said. “And during that game of Monopoly, more and more kids began to show up at the door and before you knew it, it was becoming this youth center.”
