Free online active parenting classes start Feb 24

Even if you’re an experienced parent, you’ll add to your child-rearing toolkit in a free series on Active Parenting classes coached by Tawnee Johnson, Rim Country’s youth and family educator with Arizona Youth Partnership’s Starting Out Right program. Due to COVID-19 social distancing and safety precautions, classes that met in-person a year ago moved online, and a new series begins Feb. 24. Participants earn more than parental coping skills, they also get free diapers and a limited number of children’s car seats are also available. Do the classes help? Just ask Caitlin, she took part, along with her husband, in the debut Active Parenting series in Payson in 2018 — and returned for more the following year.
