Representative image BELAGAVI: A chance examination of Aadhaar cards of two young women who delivered babies in a Belagavi hospital in December set off investigations by police and child protection departments, leading to the arrest of two men for marrying minor girls. Though the incident took place in December, the men, aged 24 and 26 and who work as daily labourers, were arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (Pocso) in the third week of January. They are lodged in the jurisdictional police station. Sources said the duo will be produced before court after police file a chargesheet by the end of this month.

The report says she was suffering from a headache frequently and was later diagnosed with cerebral aneurysm after an MRI scan. The 33-year-old worker from Galataga village of Chikkodi taluk had taken the Covishield vaccine on January 22. After eight days, she complained of headache and vomiting. She was first admitted to the taluk hospital in Nippani, and then to Chikkodi hospital.
