Solano coronavirus case count jumps – again; up 46 Thursday
FAIRFIELD Solano County’s recent drop in its daily coronavirus case counts did not last long.
After daily case declines over the weekend, and on each day leading up to Thursday’s report, the numbers jumped with 46 confirmed cases, the county Public Health Division reported.
Dr. Bela Matyas, the county public health officer, said the source of the increases continues to be social gatherings of mostly younger residents, and largely at residences.
But he agrees that in practical terms, the county is probably already functioning as if it is in the orange tier, even though the case numbers and other testing data put it squarely in the red.
FAIRFIELD The Solano County Public Health Division reported the second-lowest number of coronavirus cases Wednesday for any day in April.
The 21 cases take the overall total to 32,366. The lowest single-day total – 20 – was reported April 20.

Solano Covid numbers look promising, again; hospitalizations, too
FAIRFIELD The roller coaster that has been the Solano County coronavirus case reporting is back on the thrill of a downward slide.
The Public Health Division reported 32 new cases Tuesday. It was the first day since April 20 when the number was below 35. The month has had an average of about 41 cases per day. That compares to March when the daily average was just under 37.
