Timothy Robert Woodbury, 66, of Liberty passed away peacefully on December 4, 2020. A graveside service will be held at Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Morrill Village Cemetery.

Timothy Robert Woodbury passed away peacefully on December 4, 2020 due to complications of Alzheimer s disease.
He was the son of Francis and Norma Roberts Woodbury and was born on May 12, 1954 in Bangor, Maine.
Tim grew up on a family dairy farm in Morrill, Maine. He attended Belfast Area High School where he played basketball and baseball. He was known as Buddha” by his basketball fans. He also played college basketball at the University of Maine at Bangor.

BELFAST Belfast Area High School students joined 200 fellow students and competitors from around the state for the 75th Maine State Science Fair, with a special emphasis on the ocean’s ecology and its relation to rising temperatures.
Chelsea Gaiero, Jonah Lovejoy, and Grace Hall participated in the April 3 virtual fair, which was organized by The Jackson Laboratory and the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance.
The fair comprised 157 students representing 23 schools in eight Maine counties tuned in to present virtual research or engineering projects to a panel of judges and attend events. High school students from across the state competed for prestigious state titles and over $1 million in scholarships and awards.

rankings for high schools have been released and two local schools earned top 10 rankings
Each of the local schools earning statewide rankings also received rankings at the national level.
Last year, Camden Hills and Oceanside were the only two area schools that earned accolades, both placed in the top 10.
This year, Camden Hills dropped from sixth to its current ranking of ninth in the state. In 2019, the Rockport school was ranked seventh.
Oceanside, meanwhile, dropped from 10th to 36th. In 2019, the Rockland school was ranked 28th.

AUGUSTA – Kathleen Melanie (Littlefield) Sproul died on April 9, 2021 at her home in Augusta at the age of 69 years old. She died after a 10-year battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a rare neurological disease of which there is no cure and little is known.
Born on June 24, 1951, Kathy was the second child born to Dexter Parker Littlefield and Patricia M. (O’Grady) Littlefield in Worcester, Mass. They moved to Belfast when Kathy was still quite young. She attended Belfast public schools, graduating from Belfast Area High School in 1969. In high school, Kathy sang in chorus, participated in school plays and American Field Service. She later attended Beal Business College in Bangor.
