A Co Antrim man is accused of carrying out more than a thousand sexual offences against his young cousin, a court heard today.

An 18-year-old man has appeared in court in Belfast charged with the abduction of a 14-year-old girl from Co
Louth this week.
Nojus Maculevicius, from Blackrock in Co Louth, was charged with five offences when he appeared via video link from Musgrave PSNI station.
The first charge is that on Monday 19 April, he detained a person contrary to Article 4 of the Child Abduction Northern Ireland Order 1985.
Other charges include driving a car without a driving licence or insurance.
A solicitor for Mr Maculevicius told Belfast Magistrates Court that understood the charges put to him.
A PSNI officer objected to an application for the defendant to be released on bail.

An 18-year-old man has been charged with the abduction of a 14-year-old girl.
The teenage girl went missing from her home in Blackrock, County Louth, on Monday and was found safe and well in Belfast on Thursday night, police say.
The man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Saturday, charged with child abduction and other offences.
All charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

A man accused of leading a loyalist show of strength in east Belfast has secured court permission to help coach Donaghadee Football Club with prominent loyalist Jamie Bryson.
Stephen Matthews bail terms were varied so that he can assist with training and a pre-season tournament.
The 58-year-old was allegedly involved in a gathering of up to 60 masked men at Pitt Park on 2 February.
The group is believed to be linked to the East Belfast UVF, prosecutors say.
Mr Matthews, from Pansy Street in Belfast, denies charges of unlawful assembly and affray in connection with the incident.
