Belfast Zoo to reopen on Friday Belfast Zoo will reopen to visitors on Friday after a relaxation of lockdown restrictions Meerkats at Belfast Zoo. The popular attraction will reopen to visitors on Friday BELFAST Zoo is to reopen to the public on Friday following a relaxation of lockdown restrictions. The popular visitor attraction will be open to to ticket-holders only. The zoo will operate hourly sessions between 10am and 3pm until May 2. After May 2, sessions will run between 10am and 4pm. The move comes after the Executive allowed outdoor attractions to reopen from Friday of last week. Dunluce Castle in Co Antrim has already reopened.

Kirk Walsh have much to draw on as they chat about their new books Wednesday virtually via BookPeople.   McCracken’s collection of short stories, “The Souvenir Museum” (Ecco/HarperCollins, $26.99), is her seventh book, following the critically acclaimed 2019 novel “Bowlaway.” Walsh’s debut, “The Elephant of Belfast” (Counterpoint, $27), is historical fiction inspired by a World War II-era zookeeper.
