Members of the party will deliver thank-you cards and goodie bags to employees of Knoxville Hospital & Clinics, Pella Regional Health Center, and various long-term care facilities. Volunteers have spent the last two weeks preparing the gifts.

Therapy Services from Pella Regional Health Center are now available in Prairie City, which includes physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy at 404 South Commerce Drive.
The goal of the programs are to develop comprehensive treatment programs that relieve pain, restore mobility, increase strength and improve function.
Before designing a treatment program for patients, staff completes a thorough evaluation to accurately assess each patient’s condition. Once this is completed, a therapist works with the patient to develop a treatment plan and set individual goals.

Knoxville Hospital & Clinics has begun to administer COVID-19 vaccines to its frontline healthcare workers after receiving doses last week. CEO Kevin Kincaid says that people can find a great deal of misleading information online, and that when it comes time for the general public to get their doses, medical professionals are the ones to be trusted.
“Right now, during COVID-19, I’m really not going to be interested in what my friends have to say about it on Facebook. I’m going to ask my doctor, Dr. Hoehns, if the vaccination is appropriate for me. I fully expect that that answer will be ‘yes,’ but I’m going to ask my doctor, and I’m going to follow my doctor’s advice. That’s where I’m going to get my information about this COVID-19 vaccination.”
Dr. Donald V. Meyer, 85, of Pella, IA passed away early Thursday morning at Pella Regional Health Center. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at First Reformed Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 10:30 am. at First Reformed Church, Pella, Iowa. Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella is in charge of the arrangements.
