Jun. 2 Whatcom County is slightly ahead of state averages in vaccinations but saw 37 new COVID-19 cases in the most recent numbers reported on the Washington State Department of Health's coronavirus dashboard. The state's latest report showed Whatcom County had 35 new COVID-19 cases for a total of 9,047 confirmed cases, 430 hospitalizations up three from the last report and 98 related .

The Community Vaccination Center at Bellingham Technical College is now welcoming walk-ins appointments.
Scheduling an appointment is still recommended, although not required for vaccination at any of the three weekly clinics.
Those who choose walk-in appointments will be vaccinated on a first-come-first-served basis. Those with appointments are guaranteed vaccination at their scheduled time.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. Whatcom County’s Community Vaccination Center begins offering weeknight clinics this week.
Vaccinations will now be offered at Bellingham Technical College on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and during the day on Saturdays.
The first weeknight clinic is this Thursday, April 29th from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Whatcom County Health Department and its partners will have 240 first doses of the Moderna vaccine available this Thursday and 480 on Saturday.
Second dose clinics are invitation-only for those who received their first dose at the CVC and are guaranteed second-dose appointments.
Anyone who received their first does elsewhere and has had trouble finding an appointment is encouraged to call 360-778-6075 for assistance.
