Three Belleville General Hospital staff have tested positive for COVID-19, resulting in the declaration of an outbreak on the hospital’s Quinte 5 floor.
People who need hospital care should still go to QHC hospitals, president and chief executive officer Stacey Daub said.

Visiting of patients on Quinte 5 has been halted, but Daub said exceptions may be made in compassionate situations, such as if a patient is dying.
All three infected employees worked on that floor and are now off work, she said. Any infected person is required by law to enter isolation.
