BAY PINES, FL Many families were upset to discover that flags were not placed by their loved one s headstone at Bay Pines National Cemetery for Memorial Day. But authorities say it s not the responsibility of the Veterans Administration or its VA National Cemetery Association to place individual flags at the more than 30,000 graves there.
Six BB or pellet gun shootings were reported over a 10-hour span Sunday night and Monday morning along a stretch of the 91 Freeway in the Inland Empire, the CHP said Monday. The CHP say the cases appear to match the more than 50 similar shootings in which drivers have been reporting getting their windows shot along the same stretch.

The government has confirmed funding of £36m for a wave of technical bootcamps, paid for out of the National Skills Fund, that are designed to bolster digital and other technical skills and inject a new wave of skilled individuals into the workforce.
