Nominees will take part from locations around the world at Golden Globes awards ceremony
LOS ANGELES: The Golden Globes ceremony at the end of February will take place from both Los Angeles and New York, organizers said on Tuesday, and those nominated for their work in film and television will take part from locations around the world.
The changes are prompted by the coronavirus pandemic, which has ruled out the usual glitzy seated dinner for A-list celebrities at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Instead, comedian Tina Fey will broadcast live on NBC television from the Rainbow Room in New York, while co-host Amy Poehler will be inside the Beverly Hilton.

Live from The Rainbow Room (at the top of Rockefeller Center) in New York City, and Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will literally host the event from coast to coast.
According to an exclusive report by Variety, “The 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards is going bicoastal. Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, returning to helm the ceremony for the first time since 2015, won’t be in the same room together” with Tina hosting from New York and Amy in California.
