Former Pacific Daily News Vibe reporter Hannah White will deliver the valedictory address at Assumption University on Sunday, May 9, at the university s 104th Commencement exercises at the DCU Center in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts.
The former Tamuning resident will address her fellow graduates and their families and friends before the conferral of degrees. Salutatorian Maeve McDonald will introduce the commencement speaker, Pulitzer Prize-winning and nationally syndicated Washington Post columnist George F. Will.

War in the Pacific Historical Park hiring youth conservation officers

The War in the Pacific National Historical Park will accept applications through 4 p.m. April 9 for its summer Youth Conservation Corps program.
Students engage in conservation and activities that teach them about the War in the Pacific National Historical Park and the National Park Service. The park will hire up to four students at the local minimum wage, according to a news release.
The program runs for up to eight weeks, from June 8 to July 31, with participants working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Participants must be at least 15 years old by June 8, and no older than 18 on Aug. 1.
