Two small earthquakes shake Puget Sound

December 29, 2020 7:28 am clipart.com SEATTLE, Wash. (AP)  Two small earthquakes shook the Puget Sound area early Monday. The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network says a magnitude 2.9 earthquake was recorded near Monroe at 2:41 a.m. Monday, and a 2.2 earthquake was recorded at 12:05 p.m. near Carnation. The Seattle Times reports the earthquake near Monroe was felt by at least 116 people who reported it to the U.S. Geological Survey’s “Did You Feel It” web page. Small earthquake reported near Bremerton By Q13 News Staff Map courtesy Pacific Northwest Seismic Network BREMERTON, Wash. - A magnitude 3.4 earthquake struck near Bremerton Tuesday morning, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.  The PNSN says it happened around 8:30 a.m. about three miles from Bremerton from a depth of about 13 miles. It was roughly 11 miles from Seattle.  There were a few comments on social media that the quake was felt in the Seattle-Tacoma area, though those haven t been confirmed. Washington emergency management officials are asking people who felt it to report what they experienced. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
