Photo: EFDC A 133-year-old Victorian drinking fountain has been fitted with new lights after the old ones were frequently vandalised. Epping’s Victorian drinking fountain has been fir with new LED lights as part of works to upgrade the High Street. In the past, the fountains lights, bulbs in the glass lampshades at the apex of the fountain, have frequently been vandalised. Cllr Holly Whitbread, cabinet member for housing and community, said: “As part of the programme of works on our High Street during Covid-19, we decided to bring the lights back into use on what is a much-loved icon of Epping history.”
