He was previously the executive director of the Kern Citizens for Sustainable Government. “Romeo comes to the Farm Bureau with a wide breadth of experience having worked in both public and private sectors. He brings a wealth of knowledge of public policy and government at all levels. His experience, knowledge, and reputation for solving problems and implementing bold and innovative initiatives is welcomed at a time when the agricultural industry is struggling under burdensome regulations, uncertainty regarding labor and water, and volatile markets,” said President of the Farm Bureau, John Moore.

(KERO) — The Bakersfield City Council is meeting Wednesday where they will go over a presentation of a street light study which will help determine if increased lighting would decrease incidents of crime and car crashes in town. Done by electrical company JMPE, the focus of the study is lighting standards and areas with deficient lighting as well as high crime rates slash accident rates. After some research, the company plans to recommend to the council that in order to reduce car incidents light levels should be increased on Ming Avenue and Ashe Road.
