BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) â A second suspect has been arrested in a deadly street racing crash that killed one person in Bakersfield.
Back on March 17th at 2:30 a.m., three cars were involved in a street race on Panama Lane. At one point, all three cars became airborne at the intersection with Stine Road. One car crashed into another vehicle that was not involved in the race. The driver of the speeding car was ejected from the vehicle. That driver died at the scene.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) â Bakersfield Police Are asking for the communityâs help in identifying the following suspect involved in the theft of a catalytic converter.
The suspect stole a catalytic converter from a car parked in the 2000 block of Oak Street on June 11th.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his mid 20 s. He stands between 5â10 and 6 and weighs approximately 240 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, and light blue shorts with a white stripe on the sides.

BPD investigating after woman kills roommate at local retirement community

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. â The Bakersfield Police Department are investigating after a woman at a retirement community killed her roommate.
According to BPD officers responded to the Pinewood Glen Retirement Community on South Real Road just after 9 a.m.. When they arrived they found a woman with major injuries on the ground inside one of the rooms. After investigating officers discovered the woman s roommate killed her sometime last night.
The roommate cooperated with the investigation and has been booked into the Kern County jail for murder.
