Dubai: Khurram Shroff, Chairman of Dubai’s IBC group, one of the Middle East’s largest cryptocurrency hodlers and Blockchain advocates, has announced that he will be chairing the Miami Mixed Arts Foundation, which will include the biggest digital art collectors in the world. The foundation will launch the first-ever exhibition to include a mix of digital and physical art, in Miami.

Until then, I had not really succumbed to social media. I had tried Facebook but was only mildly taken by it. Twitter was a bit more suitable for my nano-attention span. But Instagram was an entirely different situation. I was hooked right from the start. Being mostly a visually-oriented person, I was fascinated to be able to grasp anyone’s personality by taking just one look at their grid of images.

The Aspen Chapel Gallery has partnered with nonprofit Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers (RFOV) to open the watercolor and sculpture exhibition “Happy Trails.”
The show will open on Wednesday, Feb. 17 with artists in attendance, from 4-7 p.m. for a limited number of viewers following COVID-19 protocols. It will run through April 11.
Participating artists are Larry Day, John Doyle, Jennifer Jones, Axel Livingston, Julia Marshall, Gregg McFadden, Nika Myers, Missy Prudden, Jane Seglem, Katy VanNostrand and Amy Beidleman, who also curated. Ten percent of sales will go to RFOV.
Gallery co-director Michael Bonds said Beidlemn “has put together an eclectic and diverse show featuring watercolors and sculpture. Please stop by for our safe opening and greet the artists and learn how to get involved with Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers.”

Perez was diagnosed with cancer last year, successfully beating the disease after a year of fighting it, and according to “best friend, creative collaborator and business partner” Angilee Wilkerson, died from complications after contracting Covid-19. At the time of her death, Perez was Director of Operations at High Bandwidth, and before that Associate Professor of Graphic Design at Texas Woman’s University in Denton.
