The state government is pumping another $282 million into its business support package as Victoria prepares for the second week of its latest COVID-19 lockdown.
Business Minister Martin Pakula said on Wednesday that pubs, clubs and other licensed venues will now be eligible for new payments of $4200 on top of the $3000 available for the first five days of lockdown.
Other businesses eligible for the state payments can claim another $2800 in addition to the $2000 made available last week.
Businesses in Victoria’s ski fields, which have seen their peak season hit hard by the lockdown and have been able to claim $15,000 from the government, will get access to another $3000.
