Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has said the war against insurgency can only be successful if credible and adequate information were provided armed forces and other security agencies by members of the public.
Abiodun stated this at a special Church service marking this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day at the Cathedral of St. Peter, Ake, Abeokuta.
Governor Abiodun, represented by Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo, noted that the insurgency being waged by the Boko Haram and others would come to an end when accurate intelligence gets to the military high command.

Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has been honoured with an award of excellence as Ambassador of Peace and Justice by Umaisha Political Central Association (UPCA).
UPCA is an umbrella body of youth in Umaisha Development Area of the state.
Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, who represents Ugya/Umaisha constituency, also bagged an award of excellence as the Best Man/leader of the year.
The UPCA President, Ibrahim Karika while honouring the governor, speaker and two others on Saturday in Umaisha, said the honour bestowed on them was based on their quality leadership styles.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, on Wednesday, assented to the 2021 budget bill, passed by the State House of Assembly.
Assenting to the bill, estimated at One hundred and sixty-nine billion, eight hundred and forty-five million, seven hundred and fifty-eight thousand, five hundred naira (N169,845, 758,500.00),
Gov. Ugwuanyi thanked members of the State House of Assembly for their partnership with the state government as well as diligent discharge of their legislative responsibilities which saw to the smooth and timely passage of the budget.
The governor who also thanked God for 2020, prayed that the coming year will be better.

Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has assented to 2021 approved N213.9bn budget passed by the State House of Assembly, on Tuesday.
While signing the document during a ceremony held at the Banquet Hall late evening, at Government House, the Governor pledged to ensure full implementation of the approved 2021 budget.
He explained that the 2021 budget was larger than that of 2020, as it was designed to enable his administration to consolidate on the achievements so far recorded in the area of provision of social amenities to the people of the state.
