CJI Justice SA Bobde (File photo)  Key Highlights AG to address ways of legal recourse to citizens if partial lockdowns imposed, said CJI New Delhi: A 3-judge bench of the Supreme Court has agreed with Attorney General (AG) KK Venugopal s suggestion to exclude time of around 15 months from the ambit of the Limitation Act, which will allow lawyers and litigants to file cases without being time barred for the period which has elapsed during the pandemic. In view of difficulties faced by lawyers and litigants in moving court during the pandemic, the Supreme Court on 6 May 2020 had extended the periods of limitation under Arbitration Act and the Negotiable Instruments Act from 15 March 2020 till further orders. The court order had implied that new cheque bounce cases couldn t be initiated and the period of the pandem
