The Greer Police Department (GPD) is working with the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office after a fetus was found outside the emergency room at Pelham Medical Center early Saturday morning.
Greer Police responded to the Pelham Medical Center at 12:36 a.m. Saturday when a driver of a 4-door silver vehicle with dark tinted windows got out of the vehicle and placed a bag at the entrance to the ER. Hospital staff located the bag and found a deceased fetus inside, Lt. Patrick Fortenberry reported.

The Greer Police Department is investigating a shooting that had two men and a woman with gunshot wounds.
Police responded to a call about 2:50 a.m. Tuesday morning at a residence in the 200 block of Pleasant Drive. When officers arrived, two men and a woman had gunshot wounds. All three were taken to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment for their injuries.
All the victims have been identified and GPD detectives interviewed one person at the scene. No identifications or information has been released at this time.
No report was given for the conditions of the injured and police reported it appeared to be an isolated incident, according to Lt. Patrick Fortenberry of the GPD.

It’s the fourth holdup of a business, including two banks, on Wade Hampton Blvd. in 45 days. No arrests have been announced by Greer or Greenville law enforcement.
An unknown subject entered the Check-N-Go and displayed a firearm, according to Lt. Patrick Fortenberry of the Greer Police Department. The subject fled the scene on foot. “Our officers along with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office K9 team are attempting to search the surrounding area for the subject,” Fortenberry said.

A woman who died Monday in a shooting at a Greer apartment complex has been identifed and a 16-year-old juvenile has been arrested.
Zakiya Drinkard-McKinney, 19, of Greenville died Monday at Poplar Place Apartments. A second victim was transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment. That person has not been identified and condition has not been reported.
According to Lt. Patrick Fortenberry of the Greer Police Department, officers arrived after 2 p.m. on Monday on Poplar Dive to respond to the shooting.
Police charged the juvenile with murder, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
