The Batesville Area Arts Council’s Winter Art Boxes are available now, while supplies last!  BAAC has created 2 winter boxes perfect for gifting this season. The art box recommended for ages 5 – 11 includes step-by-step instructions, and all materials needed to create five winter-themed art projects, plus bonus coloring pages. The Bullet Journal Art Box is recommended for ages 10 and up, and includes a dotted journal (5” x 8.25”), set of 18 felt tip pens, bullet journaling ideas & tips, a small sketchbook, plus fun stickers and washi tapes. Take a walk on the wassail side Saturday, December 12 in historic downtown Batesville. The inaugural Main Street Wassail Walk will encourage people to stroll Main Street Batesville and get to know downtown merchants over a cup of wassail and hors d’oeuvres. A yuletide drink in England since Medieval times, Wassail is a mulled cider, spiced with seasonal items like ginger, cinnamon and clove.”It can be hot or cold; it can be alcoholic or non-alcoholic,” Main Street Batesville board chairman, Brian Coltharp, said. “It can be apple cider, it can be pear cider.
