Two Danish architects have completed a two-month stay in their own collapsible shelter in a remote part of Greenland to stimulate harsh conditions on the Moon.
Sebastian Aristotelis and Karl-Johan Sørensen, who are part of a design firm called SAGA Space Architects, camped out in the ‘Lunark’ shelter amid -28°F (-16°C) conditions on the island s north without any access to smartphones or the internet.
Lunark is a futuristic-looking habitat that folds down to a manageable size for easy transportation before being expanded in its final location. It is designed for taking up minimal space on rockets to the Moon.
"The Star Wars Holiday Special" aired in 1978 between the releases of "Star Wars" and "The Empire Strikes Back." It was shown only once because the reaction was so negative.
Ruhe: Of course zero gravity was one of the challenges. That’s always interesting to do, because it’s been done so many times – it’s been done so great by a lot of people. Zero gravity is one of the challenges. The other challenge is that a lot of this spaceship interiors were pretty small places and to work in there with a big camera and the crew was challenging because it was really tight. We used a lot of the 65 in there. We use a lot of LED lighting to have space to shoot 360 degrees in there.
