Search turns to recovery mode for missing swimmer near Live Oak Avenue
Witnesses said a swimmer failed to resurface after going underwater, and a second person jumped in to help.

AUSTIN, Texas Austin-Travis County EMS is reporting that the search for a missing swimmer is turning to recovery mode.
According to ATCEMS, emergency services responded to a water rescue at 7715 Live Oak Avenue around 7 p.m. on Saturday. Witnesses said a swimmer failed to resurface after going underwater, and a second person jumped in to help.

MCKINNEY, Texas â A North Texas community is honoring a local teen as an example of how to react in an emergency situation, and itâs an example that a young man has set twice.
First responders gathered at one of the City of McKinneyâs fire stations on June 25 to honor 13 year-old Xavier Allen and his mother Camille Allen. The duoâs family looked on as the teen received several life-saver awards from city staff and from doctors at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - McKinney where Allen got life-saving care after Xavier Allen sprang into action.
