Federal charge issued in Russell drug bust

ASHLAND A federal grand jury last week issued a single-count indictment against a Michigan man at the center of the largest meth bust in Russell history, according to court records. Marquise S. Glass, 29, of Detroit, was indicted Feb. 24 on a possession with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of heroin charge. If convicted, Glass could face 10 years to life. Glass was busted Feb. 1 following an investigation by the Tri-State Narcotics Team. Court records show drug investigators turned up roughly 2.9 pounds of meth and $7,399 cash inside a hotel room Glass was staying at in Russell. The investigation began in mid-January when staff at the hotel discovered meth inside a room Glass had stayed at previously, according to court records.

Pike man facing federal meth charges; filing comes a week after police allegedly find him in possession of 5 ounces of the drug

Adam Little A Pike County man arrested recently by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department on methamphetamine charges is now facing federal charges in connection with a similar arrest last year. According to court documents, on Feb. 3, Adam Little, 64, of Sycamore Road, Ashcamp, was charged in U.S. District Court in Pikeville with a single count of possession with the intent to distribute a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. The charge, according to an affidavit filed by a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, stems from an Oct. 2 incident in which Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at Little’s residence.
