A North Queensland politician has been fined and banned from the city s nightclub precinct for his involvement in a fight.

Queensland Labor MP Les Walker has been fined and banned from Townsville s nightclub precinct for his involvement in a fight.
Mundingburra Labor MP Les Walker got into a fight and was knocked unconscious at the Mad Cow Tavern during birthday celebrations last Saturday.
He received a fine of $800 for the incident.
In a statement, Queensland Premier Palaszczuk said she has accepted Les Walker s apology, and flagged he will also be apologising to the Townsville community.
Two other men were also fined and banned from the precinct.
