Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a scene in front of homes in the Pine Manor community of south Fort Myers Wednesday night.
There was yellow crime scene tape up around homes and blocking a portion of a residential street, where deputies have a large presence at Cypress Drive and 9th Ave.
A vehicle belonging to an area Domino’s Pizza employee was behind the crime scene tape of the active scene.
Upon connecting with the Domino’s location, we were told a delivery driver was sent to the neighborhood to deliver food. The Domino’s says it was a “fake” order, and upon arriving to deliver the food, the Domino’s driver was jumped, robbed and pepper sprayed.
A pizza delivery driver was robbed on the job, and crooks made off with his phone and money. Those who live in the neighborhood where it happened want the violence to stop. But a community leader says crime is actually down from years ago.
Wednesday night, Lee County deputies responded to the Pine Manor neighbor in south Fort Myers, where a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver was attacked and robbed.
