These Northern Rivers pensioners found themselves on the wrong side of the law this year.
We take a look back at some of the crimes they were convicted for in 2020:

A disability pensioner punched a taxi driver when asked to pay his fare, a North Coast court heard.
Paul Anthony Johnson, 61, appeared in Tweed Heads Local Court on November 16 facing a charge of common assault.

Subscriber only Dads are normally the ones who dish out the punishment, but these Northern Rivers fathers who went before the courts this year have now been at the receiving end of the stick. Between firearm possession, drink driving and domestic violence, some dads haven t been setting a good example. We take a look back at some of the dads who went before court in 2020:
Nathan Bradley •A Tuntable Falls man has been sentenced for possessing unregistered firearms in his shed, which is located only metres away from where his children sleep. Nathan Bradley was convicted in Lismore District Court earlier in September for possessing an unregistered pistol, possessing unauthorised firearms and possessing ammunition without a permit.

A woman who assaulted a Corrective Services officer, a nurse, a friend and tried also to assault police, has been sentenced for her crimes.
The 35-year-old, who has lived in various parts of the Northern Rivers, faced Byron Bay Local Court via video link for sentencing on Monday.
She had pleaded guilty to various offences including assaulting a Corrective Services officer by way of kicking and biting him, causing actual bodily harm at Lismore in March 2019 and assaulting a man with a pair of scissors in Mullumbimby last November, also causing him harm.
She has also been convicted of failing to appear before court when required.

Subscriber only One man in a group accused of break and enter has been convicted in his absence after he failed to appear in court. Defence lawyer Paul Cranney told the court his client Aaron Grachan, 32, from Tregear, could not be located when he was due to face Byron Bay Local Court on Monday along with co-accused Nicholas Kevin Varela, 39, from Hornsby. The pair are charged with break and enter dwelling house with intent to steal, entering enclosed lands without a lawful excuse and aggravated break and enter in company with intent to steal. Julia Fernandez-Milner and David Keown are also listed as co-accused in court documents.
