MARILYN WEBER, 85 May 17, 2021 | 2:15 PM Marilyn “Lyn” Patricia Fyfe Weber, 85, of Indiana, PA, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones.  She was a long-time resident of Indiana, PA, having lived in Raleigh, NC for some years before returning to Indiana. Lyn was a devout Presbyterian of strong faith.  She grew up in Maywood, New Jersey, where she graduated from Hackensack High School in 1953 and Fairleigh Dickinson University with an Associate’s Degree in 1956. As a youth, one of her proudest accomplishments was winning a brand new typewriter in a local typing contest.  She could accurately type more than 100 words per minute.  She used that typewriter to type her husband Charlie’s doctoral dissertation and later the homework reports of her children.  It was Lyn’s typing talents that helped her land a job as a legal secretary for attorney Theodore W. Trautwein in Hakensack, NJ, before moving to Indiana.

Saint Elizabeth University holds hybrid drive-in ceremony

Morristown Daily Record Last year, the final graduating class of the College of Saint Elizabeth was limited to a virtual commencement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, a novel hybrid commencement honored the first official graduating class of Saint Elizabeth University. More than 200 students returned to the campus to accept degrees in a carefully planned, socially distanced in-person ceremony after a full academic year of remote and hybrid instruction. The event took on a drive-in aspect as President Helen J. Streubert kicked off the ceremony from inside the University’s Annunciation Center. Outside, graduates and their families waited in or near their vehicles, then were led in groups to walk across the stage in Dolan Performance Hall.
