Since the start of term on Monday, January 4, nine schools in Dorset Council area have reported cases of Covid-19. Sam Crowe, director of Public Health for Dorset and Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Councils confirmed that a number of schools in Dorset have reported single cases of COVID-19. He said: “These schools are working closely with Public Health Dorset, Dorset Council and Public Health England South West to ensure that all necessary measures are being met.

People in North Somerset are being encouraged to adopt healthier lifestyles to protect them from Covid-19.
Since the pandemic began, around a quarter of adults in the South West reported snacking on unhealthy food and drinks at least once a day, according to a survey by Public Health England (PHE).
Almost a third of people are exercising less and 11 per cent of drinkers claim their alcohol intake has increased since the second national lockdown.
